Dani Fortuny

Dani Fortuny is a director and screenwriter from Barcelona. An excellent translator of lives into images, with a beautiful visual narrative that balances between realism and cinematic fiction. The combination of emotions, stories, and a photography style with a strong contemporary character has been his trademark since he graduated from ESCAC.

Dani has worked in Mexico, Ukraine, France, Spain, and the USA, where he shot one of his most important pieces, L.A Dreamers. It was a Vimeo Staff Pick and published on National Geographic.

His piece NoW for Dream Magazine was published on Nowness and was also a Vimeo Staff Pick.

Recently, he won the Gold Award in the Film category at the El Ojo de Iberoamerica festival with the campaign for 9GaG, in collaboration with the agency LolaMullenlove.

He has worked for brands such as IKEA, Seat, Toyota, Moritz, Adidas, Brugal, Pullmantur, among others.

He balances his work in fiction projects with advertising. Above all, he loves telling stories. Recently, he premiered his short film A Noa, named after his daughter, which explores the impact of pregnancy on a first-time mother. It is currently in the festival circuit.
